The Marvelous Unspeaking Troupe of Entertaining Scoundrels (or M.U.T.E.S.) are the nation's premiere silent film sketch comedy troupe. Taking inspiration from the actors and films of the silent era, The MUTES bring their own original scripts to life on stage, or as roving entertainment at festivals.
The MUTES have performed at The Milwaukee Theater, Turner Hall as part of the Milwaukee Film Festival, down in Evansville, IN with the Drop Dead Darlings burlesque troupe, in the Milwaukee Comedy Festival, The Vic Milford Variety Show, and in guest spots in shows with Dead Man's Carnival, the Miltown Kings, and The Brewcity Bombshells. You may also have glimpsed them hanging around Milwaukee's Pridefest and other local street festivals around town.
